Use case · Distributed edge devices with flaky connectivity.
IoT / Edge
A pull model does not work — you need push with buffering.
What Unimoni offers
A push agent with a local buffer. An mTLS client certificate per device. Multi-region.
Concretely
- ✓Local buffer when the link drops
- ✓mTLS with a 24h TTL rotates automatically
- ✓Multi-region for geographic distribution
- ✓Minimal footprint: 12 MB binary, ~30 MB RAM
How it works
Push with buffer
The agent runs a push model and buffers points locally when the link drops, re-sending them after recovery. On flaky links, data is not lost the way pull would lose it.
Device identity
Each device has its own mTLS certificate with a 24h TTL that rotates automatically. A compromised cert expires within a day.
Footprint
A ~12 MB binary and ~30 MB RAM fit on edge hardware. Multi-region keeps data close to the devices’ geography.
